Chef Alain’s kitchen is a tribute to the Italian family table. Born in Milan and rooted in culinary traditions from across Italy, his craft wasn’t learned, it was inherited. Passed down through generations of authentic, homemade cooking, his approach blends heritage with precision.
Driven by passion and continuous research, Chef Alain brings the flavors of both Northern and Southern Italy to life, from handmade pasta and classic risottos to refined seafood dishes and regional specialties. His commitment to authenticity is the soul of Pepenero’s menu. As one of the restaurant’s two founders, Chef Alain has shaped Pepenero into a destination for true Italian cuisine in Koh Samui.

Paolo Migliorini
Born in the Po Valley near Parma, home of world-renowned delicacies like Parma Ham and Parmigiano Reggiano, Paolo brings a lifetime of experience in the art of Italian hospitality. With his background in food marketing and tourism, Paolo is a natural storyteller and gracious host. For over a decade, he has welcomed guests to Pepenero in four languages, sharing the origins of our ingredients and the traditions behind each recipe.
His warmth, attention to detail, and deep knowledge of Italian gastronomical culture ensure that every guest at Pepenero feels not just served, but genuinely cared for.
